STG Hay Milk
The STG hay milk is a dairy production of cattle bred in traditional, ecofriendly, dairy farms and fed by grass, legumes, cereals and hay, without using fermented foods and supplying GMO feed.
Operators wishing to produce, package and market STG hay milk have to read the Reg. (EU) 2016/304 of March 2, 2016 including the consolidated Specification and the Controls Plan with Annex I, Annex II and Annex III to evaluate the possibility of adapting to all the necessary requirements.
Milk producers
The milk producers (livestock, agricultural and breeding farms) who want to produce for the STG hay Milk have to send the Certification Contract (Form CO/DO) and the Control System Application form (Mod. LF/DO) duly filled in to CCPB and enclose a copy of a valid ID document, along with:
- Unit description Form with a list of any production agricultural site
- Cadastral sheets Map (only for STG units)
- Food and feed qualified suppliers list
Transformers
The transformers (dairies that process and bottle milk) who want to pack for the STG hay milk have to send the Certification Contract (Mod. CO/DO), the Control System Application form (Mod. LF/DO) duly filled in to CCPB and enclose a copy of a valid ID document, along with:
- Structure process form indicating the sites where the STG product is worked and packed;
- Copy of the Activity Start Certified Indication (Food SCIA);
- Facilities Layout indicating the lines dedicated to the manufacture of STG product (in case of space parting of the production cycles);
All applicants for certification must read its Regulation (Form RE/DO) along with all information relating to the activity of data processing (form IP/IP).
Documents
The outline of the controls, operators’ obligations, classification and management of non-compliances is defined in the Control Scheme (Annex 2 of the Control Plan). Costs for Control and Certification Service and terms of payment are indicated in the Price List (Encl. 1 of the Control Plan).
The system to calculate the share of raw feed is defined in the Raw Feed Determination Table (Encl. 3 of the Control Plan). In the end, the Ministry of Agricultural Policies’ authorization since CCPB is one of nominated Certification bodies to control the compliance of the “hay Milk” Guaranteed Traditional Speciality.
