SA8000 Corporate Social Responsibility
CCPB is part of the Ethical Work Network coordinated by CISE – a special company of the Chamber of Commerce of Forlì-Cesena-Rimini - to deepen and spread the theme of Social Responsibility through the SA8000 certification.
Cise and the social responsibility network
CISE has been involved for many years with initiatives and projects in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility management (in the Anglo-Saxon literature Corporate Social Responsibility CSR) as a fundamental guideline of sustainable development by the Organizations. CISE is accredited by SAAS (Social Accountability Accreditation Services) for the training courses for SA8000 auditors and for the certification of the SA8000 social responsibility management systems.
Operation of SA8000
SA8000 is developed by the SAI (Social Accountability International) and over the years, has become the main international standard, verifiable through third-party audits, which defines the requirements that must be met by the organizations. This includes the recognition or improvement of workers' rights, workplace conditions and an effective management system aimed at a continuous improvement. Companies in more than 60 countries and 55 production sectors have chosen the SA8000 certification with the aim of creating a sustainable working environment involving all workers.
Opportunities for the certified companies
The certification service provided by the Ethical Work Network represents an opportunity in terms of increasing the company's value through the collection of evidence of approach and result that allow the organization to identify the improvement actions necessary to pursuit its social responsibility objectives.
Operation of the certification
After a mainly documental evaluation and a subsequent in situ assessment, the certification provides for the issuance of the certificate and the surveillance activity in the following years.
