Naturland

Naturland is one of the major organic producers association founded in Germany in 1982, based in Grafelfing,near Muenchen. It's one of the associations that has always promoted development and growth of organic market not only in Germany but also on a international level.

Naturland History

Today Naturland reprsents more than 50.000 operators that adopt and use their standards in agrifood production and transformation of products, in agrifood, in aquaculture, in sustainable fishing, in forest management, in fair trade and in no food branches such as textile and cosmetics.

Affiliate with Naturland

Operators willing to use Naturland brand, or to supply Naturland brand users, is committed to subscribe a certification contract with Naturland, a sublicence agreement with Naturland Zeichen GmbH, and another sublicence contract for using the brand.

How Naturland certification works

CCPB, as a control and certification body, is been authorized by Naturland for inspections in order to verify that the operator is in compliance with requirements and criteria settled in the standards.
After the subscription of a certification and sublicence contract between the operator and Naturland, CCPB is allowed to carry on the inspection during which, for agrifood products, the compliance with Naturland standard and the conformity with Reg. CE 834/2007 is checked.
CCPB after the inspection sends to Naturland a copy of the inspection report, of the compiled check lists during the inspection and of the report/conformity certificate in compliance with Reg Ce 834/2007.
Naturland then evaluates the data from the inspection and decised, with its Certification Commission, concession or updating of the certification, with a communication directly to the operator,and the consequent authorisation to the brand use.
