Bio Suisse

Bio Suisse is a not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of Swiss Bud-label (National Organic Standard) producers and their licensees.

How Bio Suisse works

In order to be able to export organic products to Switzerland, it is necessary to demonstrate that you have a potential Swiss importer since only these may become licensees for Bio Suisse and label products with the Bud brand.

Moreover, products for export to Switzerland have to meet the requirements of the current relevant EU and Swiss national legislation as well as the additional requirements laid down in the Bio Suisse directives, for producers and for processers/dealers

Application for certification

The operators applying for certification have to send in a written application to CCPB that we will deal with, sending out the necessary documentation, making the onsite inspection and compiling the checklist, which we will then send on to Bio Suisse.

The operator will receive a letter of recognition from Bio Suisse to confirm compliance, a process that must be repeated every year.
