Asparagus from Cantello - PGI

The operators willing to produce, pack and sell the PGI Cantello Asparagus need first to read the Production Standard and the Control Plan in order to assess the chance to be compliant to all required.

Farmers

The farmers willing to produce the PGI CantelIo Asparagus need to send to CCPB, by 31st of January every year (applications received by 28th february will be accepted upon feasability assessment by CCPB) the Certification Contract (Mod. CO/DO) and the Application for submission to the control system (Mod. AC/DO) properly filled attaching:

  • Cadastral planimetry preferably on scale 1:2000
  • Cadastrial documents proving the availability of the land plots (rental contracts, bailment contracts, ecc).

Packagers

The packagers willing to pack for the PGI Cantello Asparagus need to send to CCPB, by 31st of January of every year (applications received by 28th february will be accepted upon feasability assessment by CCPB) the Certification Contract (Mod. CO/DO)and the Application for submission to the control system (Mod. AC/DO) properly filled attaching:

  • copy of the health inspector autorisation (or DIA, or SCIA - report of operations start date);
  • Chamber of Commerce inscription certificate;
  • planimetry of the facilities preferably on scale 1:200
  • Cadastrial documents proving the availability of the structure (rental contracts, bailment contracts, ecc).
  • description and production potential of the plants.

Documents

The frame of the set of controls, fulfillments of the operators and the classification and management of the non compliances is defined in the Control Scheme (att. 2 of the Control Plan.The costs connected to the control and certification services charged to the operators and their payments methods are defined in the Fare List (Att. 1 of the Control Plan ).
