Bio-Siegel

Bio Siegel is the German national logo that has labelled organic productions since 2001.

Operators wishing to sell products in Germany that comply with the current EU organic standards may attaché the “Bio Siegel” label to their products, therefore products certified by CCPB may be labelled with this logo.

How Bio-Siegel works

For processed products, the “Bio Siegel” logo can only be used for products that contain, out of the total products of agricultural origin, at least 95% ingredients of organic agricultural origin.

Operators wishing to use this logo are required to fill in the Application for Notification form, available at www.bio-siegel.de , and send this to the Bio Siegel information centre by e-mail, fax or post.

Operators will receive log-in details by e-mail to enable them to up-date the products to which they want to apply the Bio Siegel logo, and they are required to comply with the directives issued by the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE)
