SIAM 2025 Report

The International Agricultural Fair in Morocco (SIAM) 2025 took place in Meknès from April 21 to April 27, 2025, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The SIAM was inaugurated with the presence of the Prince of Morocco, Moulay El Hassan, giving the opening ceremony even greater prestige and importance. France was the guest of honor for this seventeenth edition. This year’s theme was “Agriculture and Rural World: Water at the Heart of Sustainable Development,” a highly relevant topic in light of the current environmental and climatic challenges.

The SIAM 2025 welcomed over one million visitors. More than 1500 exhibitors participated, representing over 70 countries. The event covered a total surface area of 370,000 square meters, demonstrating the scale and importance of this leading agricultural exhibition in Africa and the Arab world. Over 500 agricultural cooperatives were present, showcasing the diversity and richness of the agricultural and cooperative sectors. The program also featured more than 400 conferences addressed to professionals, researchers, and decision-makers in the agricultural industry.

Approximately 200 livestock breeders participated in the event, promoting livestock development and genetic improvement. In addition, more than 45 foreign delegations attended, reinforcing the international character of SIAM and establishing it as a key platform for global agricultural cooperation.

The organization of SIAM 2025 was based around twelve thematic poles, each focusing on a specific sector of agriculture and agro-industry. The fair served not only as a showcase for agricultural innovation and products but also as a strategic forum for reflecting on the future of agriculture, especially in relation to water management, sustainable practices, and innovation.

We represented CCPB at SIAM in the Italian section of the International Pole where we met various important personalities, including the Italian Minister of Agriculture. The minister visited our stand and discussed with the Director of CCPB Morocco about CCPB, its functions, and how it promotes sustainable agriculture through its various certification services. During the event, the Director of CCPB Morocco also held meetings with representatives from Marjane to discuss our ongoing partnership and to explore new opportunities for collaboration and business development.

Additionally, we had the opportunity to meet many of our certified operators. We listened carefully to their challenges and concerns, strengthening our relationship and bringing us closer to the realities they face on the ground. Our presence at SIAM also allowed us to engage with many potential clients who expressed strong interest in CCPB’s services. Furthermore, we toured the cooperatives section, where we encountered several of our certified operators, reinforcing our commitment and bonds with them.

SIAM 2025 thus confirmed its role as a major event in the agricultural calendar, offering an exceptional platform for business, dialogue, and the promotion of sustainable and innovative agriculture.
